When they say it takes a village, they aren’t lying! To ensure that our horses receive the best care possible, we have a talented and qualified team to handle every detail. Meet our employees that keep Little Sugar Creek Farm running smoothly.
The Sherba Family
Our farm is founded on this principle; "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." The farm was founded in 2010, when Shelby's parents realized this was more than just a hobby she was going to outgrow. With just one horse, the infamous "Ollie", Lori and Bob set out to make the dream of theirs a reality. The first weanling "Freedom" was purchased to jump start the young horse development that Shelby quickly proved she had a gift with. After that, the farm blossomed into what it is today. We are a small operation, that gives each horse the adequate training they need to reach their full potential. Our mission is to provide forever horses, that will give you years of success in the show ring and make all your horse dreams come true. We are proud to have a Christian foundation in our business, and strive to have an atmosphere that is a direct representation of our morals and beliefs.
Shelby Sherba - Owner and Trainer
Shelby has an extensive background showing at national level horse shows. In her junior years, she spent countless hours of training under the top riders in the sport. As an amateur, Shelby attended the University of Arkansas to study biomedical engineering while earning top ribbons at some of the most prestigious events in North America, including a second place finish at Spruce Meadows in Calgary, Canada, aboard Momma Ace in the Amateur Owner jumpers. Since turning professional, Shelby has continued to compete, riding to two top ten finishes in FEI 3* competition.
When she’s not in the show ring, Shelby spends time working with her group of young horses to bring them up the show jumping ranks.
